In this sculpture, I sought to embody the unity of opposites — the inseparable bond between life and death through the mythological union of Hades and Persephone. The King and Queen of the Underworld sit upon a throne that resembles the depths of a dark well, yet life’s enduring force stretches toward the light, bearing its symbolic fruits. The pomegranate and skull serve as mirrors of this duality, representing the symmetry of existence and decay.
